Writing a Natural Protected Area's Guide


The following information is for you EcoTour Operator so you can share with the world the Natural Protected Area (NPA) in which you work in Latin America. This opportunity for on-line publicity is available for FREE at Ecoturismolatino.com. You will receive full credit for your contribution to Ecoturismolatino.com, as well as a link from your article to your email or website. This service is free for hosting your article, but you won't receive any financial compensation for its publication. If you are an EcoTour Operator, EcoLodge or NGO with a website we request before the publication of your article a link from your website to ours. We welcome any updates to the already published articles.

Please feel free to send us information about the following types of NPAs (please review our Travel Guide to see if we don't already have the destination you are thinking of):

  • Natural Protected Areas (National Parks, Reserves, Biosphere Reserves, etc.)

We request you to write an article one page long (Word document) in Arial 12. The content must cover:

    Introduction

    • Name of the Natural Protected Areas (NPA)
    • location (locality, state or province, country)
    • general description of the area (description of the NPA, type of NPA, opening hours, admission fees, best season to visit),
    • how to get there,
    • ecotourism (activities, volunteering, tour operators & lodging),
    • responsible tourism (recommendations on how to be a responsible visitor).

      Natural Context

    • Ecosystems,
    • fauna,
    • flora,
    • attractions,
    • weather.

      Socio-Cultural Context

    • Population,
    • local communities,
    • culture,
    • community participation in the NPA.

      Managerial Context

    • Operation (managing agency of the NPA)
    • problematics of the area,
    • research,
    • contact.

You can also contribute articles to two other sections in our country "Parks & Protected Areas" Directories (but remember they have to be related to a NPA) and we create a link to your website from them also:

  • Society & Culture,
  • Environment & Conservation.

The content for these sections is unrestricted, as long as it is relevant, but the format and extent are the same as required for destinations.
